Dashboards: Only one of 100+ dashboards has zoom options?
Hi there —
We have more than 100 dashboards used across the company. While most of them look great, we have an issue with one dashboard. It's the only one that has zoom options like this in the upper-right corner:
This particular dashboard looks terrible — the font is tiny unless the user zooms in. Is there any way to reset this dashboard so it has the same view as the others? This is what the others all have in the upper-right corner:
Thanks!

Hi @jmhoward ,
As pointed out above, the dashboard with the zoom setting is a wide canvas dashboard - once a dashboard is converted to wide canvas and saved, you cant undo that change, however, the in-app zoom is meant to address the tiny fonts you mention - the reason users might see smaller fonts on the dashboard is because of the scaling used to ensure the entire dashboard canvas is in view - on smaller browsers the scaling down off all content makes the fonts smaller as well.
Does the particular dashboard in question have widgets spanning across the entire width of the dashboard or is the wide canvas area unused (meaning in edit mode you have an equal number of empty grid squares to left and right of your content)? - if the canvas area is unused, simply select the "zoom fit" option to eliminate all the unused space and it will look identical to the view you see in a standard size canvas, this is a custom zoom setting that will scale up the content and fonts. Furthermore, the zoom setting persists so there isn't a need to reset every time.
Happy to take this off line further if needed.
Thanks,
Barak

Hi Jackie ( @jmhoward )
Per the support AI tool, it tells me that "zooming is available only for wider canvas dashboards in Smartsheet. To zoom in or out in View and Edit modes, select the drop-down menu on the dashboard. This feature remains the same if your browser window size changes and you can use keyboard shortcuts to zoom in and out. For more information, please visit:

Thanks @Barak Schriger! That solves the mystery and why we haven't been able to revert it. Great tip about the "Zoom to Fit" option.
