How to not copy child rows using sheet to sheet workflows

I have a sheet with a helper column and conditions set in place to have a row copy to a different sheet however, when the automation runs, it still copies any child rows to the sheet.

My workflow is currently setup as:

Trigger: When Meeting Topic is checked

Conditions: RAID Type is not blank

Copy row to new sheet then record a date to Added to Meeting Agenda Date column.

hi @TJordan ,

i think this is the logic of smartsheet and you need to find a workaround.

What if you distinguish in the destination sheet what is a child and what is parrent row and move all the children row to some dump sheet?
