Rollup of Progress / Dates from Multiple Sheets into a Gantt

Hi! We are tracking in sheets about 10 product lifecycles. On a weekly call, we want to review a dashboard with a Gantt showing progress of key milestones across the sheets, and track progress towards an "end date" which would be product launch.

How can I forumlate multiple sheets into a Gantt without copy / pasting rows?

It needs to be dynamic so changes can all be synced/live.

Thank you!

    Hi

I think the easiest way would be to create a report that references all the sheets and pulls across just the milestone rows you need into the report.

You would have to be identifying your milestones in the same way in each sheet (such as with a helper column/milestone tag) so that your filter can pick these up.

Also, if you are pulling multiple sheets into the same report, the columns you are pulling across should be named identically in each sheet.

You can select Gantt View in the report. Your report will updated in in real-time as your sheets update.

One other note (optional not essential), if you have all of your sheets in the same workspace, you could use the workspace as the reference for the report (rather than having to select each sheet). That would mean if any new sheets are added to that workspace, their milestones would automatically be included in the report.

  • Thanks! Do you know how to best show it in a dashboard, though?
