Formula to import text in same column from one sheet to another
Hi,
I am a newbie at formulas. It's not intuitive to me. I have two sheets that have similar columns. I was using cell linking but it wouldn't allow me to create any more links (choice was grayed out). Anyway, I want to copy info from one sheet into another. Both are the first column in the sheet with similar names.
Sheet 1 (Taking info from) - HB/SB Chaptered Laws
Column 1 Name - HB/SB Number
Sheet 2 (Pulling info into) - Prep_Int_Audts
Column 1 Name - HB/SB No.
How do I build the formula?

Hi,
I hope you're well and safe!
You could use formulas to connect the sheets so the 1st would populate the 2:nd.Would that work/help?
I hope that helps!
Be safe, and have a fantastic day!

@Paul Newcome , we need the same info in both sheets for different processes, once the law is chaptered it is then populated on the new sheet for different tracking.

My suggestion would be to either use a copy row automation or include the additional tracking columns on the regular sheet.
Using formulas to pull over some of the data and then having manual entry in other columns can become problematic in that the formulas used can move data around, but the manually entered data stays where it is.
