How to Limit Viewers on Intake Sheet

Hello SS Community,

I am creating a HR Intake form to assist them in generating standard documents. The submitter will need to upload documents into their assigned line items. How do I limit the submitters to only see their items and not everyone else's?

The most effective way to do this would be to use a Dynamic View set to restrict view by Current User.

Otherwise a report with the same setting has the only drawback of users needing to be shared to the source sheet as well to be able to view data at which point they would be able to see everyone else's data by going to the sheet instead fo the report.

Hi Paul, thanks for responding. The problem with Dynamic View is they won't be able to generate a document with Document Builder. They will need the ability to generate forms and upload into specific line items.

Is there a way to set a report to Current Viewer to restrict their information?

Dynamic View feeds the sheet being referenced, so it should still trigger Document Builder automations.

Reports require that users be shared to the underlying data with the same necessary permissions, so while they would be restricted while in the report itself, they would still be able to access the data through the sheet.
