Can not find the records of auto reminder email

Hello everyone!

I am facing a problem: I could not find the records of auto reminder email.

The detail backgroud is as blow:

for example, the row ID 0000059 is submited on 25-05-20 3:42 PM, and the approval was completed on 25-05-23 8:10 AM.

and the reminder workflow is set as below.

when the "approval status" is blank, remind email will be sent to the approver and remind 3 times a day.

Generally, we can find the history record in the first colume of this row, just click this "√" icon.

But in my case, what is so strage that I can not find the record of sending emails.

Here only showing the pending request.

Could anyone please guide me how to query? Thanks so much.

    Check the workflow condition:

    • If a row is approved quickly, the reminders may not trigger.
    • Smartsheet only sends reminders when the condition stays true for a duration.

    Example: If approval was completed early on 25-05-23 and the reminder time was after that, it may not have triggered at all.

    Hello Naeem,

    Take my example, the request is submited on 25-05-20 3:42 PM, and the approval was completed until 25-05-23 8:10 AM. So this row is not approved quickly, nearly takes 3 days.

    Also, I have set a workflow to reminder the approver 3 times a day, so I am sure that he had received the email because he didn't compele this request until 25-05-23.

    What I confused is that I could not find any history record for the email sending. I just find another workflow sending record as below.

    Thanks for providing the screenshots showing what your automated workflows are set up to do. I tested this on my end and confirmed that you’re seeing the expected behaviour.Β 

    That is, the β€˜tick’ icon shows only when there is a pending update request for a row. This can be either a manual or an automated update request. The icon will show until the update request for that row is completed, and then it will disappear for that row. It will not show for alerts, approval requests, or any other workflow action. You can find out more about how to manage pending update requests here.

    There’s currently not a way to see a record of workflow actions such as alerts and approval requests, but it’s a great idea! I found a similar product idea here: Record of workflow alerts.
