Column linking
Currently, I am trying to link columns from two sheets in table view. Right now, I can link the columns when I am on the source sheet, e.g., I can match values from the destination sheet to the source sheet. However, when I am on the destination sheet, the column that I want to match to on the destination sheet does not show up. What could be the reason for this

So I see that I can't link to an auto-number, I can only link and auto-number to other data. Basically, I am trying to see if the number in the source sheet matches the auto number in the destination sheet. Is this possible without copying the number in the source sheet, and therefore the row, to the destination sheet

@Benjamin Fanelli not sure I totally understand your situation, but you can dupe auto-number columns in your source to another column in the source just with = formula and then that duplicated column does become available for standard functions

I don't want to duplicate the auto number column, I want to check the other sheet in relation to the auto numbers. Also, I can't use formulas, there are too many columns to do that

Just to give an example of @prime_nathaniel's great point is this:
I duplicated the Auto Number column into a new column named "Auto Number Duplicated", and then this column shows up in the "Link column data" popup.
If this doesn't work for you, can you include screenshots of your sheets so that I can give a better answer?
Best!

This is what I want to do. However, Row ID does not appear in the first example because it is an auto number
