Would like to use QR Codes to enter text into Smartsheet forms when being accessed on an iPad.
Hi All -
As the title states, I have built out several smartsheet forms that our employees will use to request materials through. The idea here is that as they navigate through the form, and come to a field in which they would enter an Item # and Description, they can simply scan a QR codes in our warehouse and it will automatically enter the information. I already have the QR Codes created, but am having some trouble visualizing how it will look as our employees are navigating the form.
Usually you have to open the camera open to aim and scan the QR code, which would take you out of the form. In my mind, this doesn't seem like it would work.
Can anyone confirm or provide a workaround please?
Thanks!

Only way to use a Smartsheet form is to have a barcode reader attached to the iPad that acts as a keyboard.
Alternatively, you can use an Appsheet form which will dump the data into Smartsheet :)
