Automated Email Notifications Removing External Hyperlinks

Hi Everyone,

I'm experiencing an issue where automated emails, whether sent to addresses within or beyond my organization, are removing external links upon delivery.

Testing the notification automation on my organizational email address reveals that external links within Smartsheet's "Notifications" window ARE VISIBLE. The associated sheet's automation permission is set to "Unrestricted." Please see below for screenshots.

How can I ensure external links appear in delivered automated emails?

Hi @evantr0nic,

This most likely happened because your company has an email filtering software that removed the links before sending the email to you.

This is common at many large companies, because links within emails are a big security vulnerability, when the sender is from somebody outside of the organization.

Can you contact your company's tech support and ask them to "allow-list" the Smartsheet domain, to allow emails through?

You can also see that Outlook automatically removed some of the pictures from the email. There's a message at the top - "Outlook prevented automatic download of some pictures in this message"

I adjusted my Outlook Trust Center settings to allow picture downloads.

I also asked my tech team to whitelist Smartsheet communications, but that hasn't solved the issue.

I experience the issue when sending automated emails to my personal Gmail account, which I'm accessing from a personal device not on my organization's WiFi.
