How do I remove myself from the account, as I'm the main admin?

It looks like you followed the right steps but there was a slight glitch in the update

If this does not work, you'll have to raise a support ticket by going to https://supportportal.smartsheet.com/s/

Your account manager can also help you - if you know who this is, you could just send them an email to make the change.
