How to connect Tableau desktop to Smartsheet (eu region)?

I have installed the Smartsheet Live Data Connector (64bit) and am trying to create an ODBC source according to instructions.

When I enter my Smarsheet login credentials (email and password) I get invalid email and/or password message - and when i try to connect with API token I get invalid token message.

At no point am I asked to provide link/url to Smartsheet.

Any advice?

Do You Use One of These Login Types?

1. Standard login with Smartsheet username + password
2. SSO (Single Sign-On) via Google, Microsoft, or Enterprise Identity Provider

If you use SSO, the Live Data Connector login with email/password will not work. You must use a Smartsheet API access token instead.

There seem to be other ODBC products for Smartsheet such as Devart and Cdata - any knowledge about these?
