Here at HII Mission Technologies we could not survive without out workflows. We have a TON of sheets, each with workflows. And this sheet is average for one of our sheets. Allowing us to use workflows to automate our work process has saved us all a to of time. Thank you Smartsheet!

When I'm building custom solutions for our teams with very specific needs, I'm grateful that my most used phrase is "Smartsheet can do that" in response to their wish list of functionality to save them time. Every time I get smiles and excitement from the team, even more so when I deliver the finished solution. Here are a couple of recent examples:

Automation workflows for status/update requests, meeting prep and downstream communications as rows are updated

Honestly, before Smartsheet, my work life felt a bit like a clown juggling flaming chainsaws while riding a unicycle on a tightrope. Pure chaos, and not the fun kind!

But now? Smartsheet swooped in like a superhero with a clipboard. It's basically my secret weapon for turning all that frantic "what's happening?!" energy into a chill, "oh, it's flowing!" vibe.

My biggest "smile moments" are definitely seeing those automated workflows just do their thing and having those real-time dashboards tell me exactly what's up. I mean, managing multiple teams and tracking deliverables without drowning in a tsunami of emails? Pure magic.

The absolute best part? When leadership saw our live project progress during a meeting and didn't need a single, solitary update slide. Their jaws practically hit the floor! It was a total mic-drop moment, and honestly, way funnier than any PowerPoint could ever be. Less stress, more "heck yeah!", and definitely a whole lot more smiles!

I have been an advocate for Smartsheet for over 8 years now and Since introducing Smartsheet a little over 2 years ago, we have revolutionised the intake for our projects and changes. Our intake sheet has approximately 30 automations, including approval requests, update requests and changing cell values.

We are now processing upwards of 150 requests monthly and these are being processed, tracked and reported on from within dashboards so the whole business knows what is going on and the level of workload that we have within the Project and Ops teams.

Smartsheet has powered up the business and the level of uptake through all of our departments is massive, we are adding new users regularly. Most recently I have planned the first of what will now be quarterly drop in sessions aimed to help with one on one training and for colleagues to come to us with ideas on how we can help improve flows in their areas.
