Why will my mouse not click on a cell so I can type in the information in that cell?

Could be any number of reasons. Just a few reasons:
—Your sharing permissions are not what you expect. (Some permissions to a sheet prevent you from editing, whether you do so through a sheet, a report, or via a publish link.)
—Your access to the asset is not what you expect. (Even if you have editor permissions to a link, it's possible for an asset owner to lock specific columns, preventing you from editing.)
—Your computer performance is not what you expect. (Driver issues, conflicting apps, and other issues can all have an impact.)
—Your Smartsheet account is not what you expect. (Payment issues, user status, the owner of the asset in question can all have an impact.)I recommend that for troubleshooting, you clarify for yourself what the scope is: is it occurring with one sheet? If so, that typically points to a permissions issue. If it's with several sheets… check first with other users on the sheet - can others make changes and you can't? (That points to the issue being with your individual account) or is everyone prevented from making changes when the previously could? (that points to something associated with the owner of the sheets in question) so these could be potentially addressed by your system admin/s. Are you able to interact with other websites that have nothing to do with Smartsheet? If not, your IT team might be able help with resolution of your system.

I am having exactly the same issue. This only started a few days ago for me and has never been an issue. Could this be a bug?

Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We've determined that cells/sheets being unresponsive until the page is refreshed is caused by a bug and our Product team is working on a resolution. We are not able to provide a time-frame on how long the resolution could take but we are doing our best in order to have this fixed as soon as possible.
