Duplicating a sheet is taking hours loading

i have a master sheet that pulls data from other sheets, i want to maintain the sheet to remove precious years data as the worksheet is very slow and the sheet has lot of blank spaces. so, i tried to duplicate the sheet as other teammates need to work on the sheet. so, i can maintain the duplicated sheet, but the duplicate process is not working as it is taking so much time. i tried to filter the data but i am still facing same issue. please i need help with cleaning the sheet as well improving the performance of the worksheet.

If duplicating is slow:

• Try duplicating without data (structure only), then copy in only the necessary rows.
• Alternatively, export the sheet to Excel, clean it there, and re-import it as a new Smartsheet.
• Create a backup first (even if it's slow).
• Use a date filter to identify rows from previous years.
• Move old data to an archive sheet:
  • Create a new sheet called Archive - Master Sheet.
  • Copy and paste old rows into it.
  • Delete those rows from the master sheet.
