How to generate Report from Dropdown list data
I am trying to run a report and group them from the drop-down list data in the sheet. However, when I try to group them out by each list that I have in the dropdown column, it is not available for me to choose. It is also not available for me in the Summary.
Anyone know how to use the Group and Summary function in the report from the data that is listed as dropdown list in sheet?

@Waranya Are the dropdowns multi select? If so, you can't group by multi select dropdown columns, only single select dropdown columns.

@Darren MullenYes, the dropdowns are multi select. Then what is your suggestion in this case?

@Waranya If you only need 1 selection in each, then change to a single select, otherwise you can't group in the report.
You'd have to transform the data if there are multiple values selected.

Got it, so if I have a dropdown list, but they can only select one out of the dropdown list. Would I still be able to group it and use the summarized it? If so, how? I tried, but even with single selection, I still cannot group them.
For example, please reference to the picture below. I have the 'Category of Issues' column with a single selection. However, when I looked it up in Group by, it is not available there. Would you please provide a solution to this ?

It looks like [Category of Issues] is still set as a multi-select column type. Go into the column properties and deselect the option to allow multiple values per cell.
