Why can some of us drag and drop emails from Outlook and add as an attachment in SS and others can't

You can’t drag and drop from the Outlook Web App to Smartsheet — it doesn’t provide a .msg file to drop.

Some browsers (or outdated versions) don’t handle drag/drop correctly. Use Chrome, Edge, or Firefox (latest version). Avoid Internet Explorer or older Safari.

The person may not have Editor or Admin access to attach files. Make sure they have at least Editor-level access on the sheet.

Use Outlook’s “Save As”:

1. Right-click an email in Outlook → “Save As” → choose .msg
2. Then upload the .msg manually to Smartsheet
