Metric Widget Question

I have a Smartsheet that tags complaints by theme using a dropdown where users can select more than one theme. I would like to create a Dashboard widget that shows number of complaints by theme. I've tried using COUNTIF on my metrics sheet, but it only pulls in the first item chosen, so it's not giving an accurate count for each category. Is there a way around this?

You would incorporate a HAS function.

=COUNTIFS({Multi-Select Column}, HAS(@cell, "specific selection to count"))
