it’s been slow for me too, on all machines, all browsers, even the native app - for months. My sheets are not data-heavy. I have Smartsheet for myself (small business) and through work - I’m experiencing the issue both places.

If you're experiencing slow performance in Smartsheet (even with lightweight sheets), here are some proven solutions and best practices that often help improve speed:

✅ 1. Check for Image & Attachment Bloat

Even if a sheet isn’t data-heavy in rows, it may still load slowly due to:

• Large image thumbnails
• Numerous attachments
• Logo files or embedded content in cells

Solution:

• Move images/attachments to a central repository and link them instead.
• Use Document Builder or external file links if possible.

✅ 2. Reduce Conditional Formatting

Too many rules or formulas in conditional formatting can slow things down.

Solution:

• Simplify rules or reduce their scope (e.g., don’t apply to entire columns if not necessary).

✅ 3. Limit Cross-Sheet References

Smartsheet has limits (e.g., 100 unique cross-sheet references per sheet). Sheets close to that threshold can perform poorly.
