Data Connection from Data Table to Sheet Auto Refresh?

I set up a Data Connection from Data Table to Sheet. Rows loaded the first time I set it up. How do I make it refresh automatically?

I deleted some rows on the (Target) Sheet, but it did not update after refresh and I waited for a few minutes and it has not refreshed. Do I need to click refresh everytime?

It feels like this is just creating a look up formula but with additional steps.

btw, my goal is to merge 2 sheets, refresh on schedule every hour.

Sheet A > Offload to TeamList Sheet as attachment TeamASheet.csv

Sheet B > Offload to TeamList Sheet as attachment TeamBSheet.csv

Upload TeamASheet.csv > DataTable TeamList

Upload TeamBSheet.csv > DataTable TeamList

TeamList Sheet > set up Connection > TeamList DataTable to TeamList Sheet

It sounds like there might be a little confusion around how DataTable connections work.

When you connect a sheet to a DataTable, you're syncing the sheet from the DataTable, meaning changes made in the sheet (like deleting rows) won’t trigger updates. Instead, the sheet will be automatically updated to reflect changes made in the DataTable, not the other way around.

There are two types of DataTable connections:

Add & Update Mode: Pulls in subsets of data based on filters you set. You can control how new, updated, or filtered-out rows behave in your sheet.
Lookup Mode: Works like a VLOOKUP, pulling in matching data from a DataTable into your sheet based on a unique identifier. Mapped columns are locked and automatically updated every 5 minutes based on the DataTable.

When setting up your connection, the “Set Behaviors for Data Changes” section explains that syncs happen every 5 minutes and only reflect changes from the DataTable (not manual edits in the sheet).

If your goal is to merge and regularly update data from two different sheets, it may be more effective to use Data Shuttle. With Data Shuttle, you can offload data from Sheet A and B into CSVs, and then upload those CSVs into your TeamList Sheet on a schedule or when new attachments are added.
