Automation Trigger Not Working

Hi there.

I have a pretty simple automation, but it won't trigger automatically. Although it does work when I use the "Test now" button.

The automation is supposed to change an item's status when a particular checkbox is checked. The checkbox column is driven by an INDEX(COLLECT) formula, which has been tested and is working perfectly.

Below is a screenshot of the automation. What could the issue be?

@Zach_ , have you tried using your condition as the trigger? Just change it up so that the trigger is When Completed on Project/Upskill (all) changes to checked, Condition = Status is not one of Completed (this should avoid an infinite automation loop), THEN change cell value in Status to Completed.

Yes, I tried that.

I think I learned what the issue is: an INDEX(COLLECT) formula cannot trigger a "Change cell value" action. Instead, I scheduled it to run daily. I'll see if that works.

It would be nice if Smartsheet would have prevented me from saving the automation and displayed an error. That would have saved a lot of time.
