Cannot add a single sheet to a Report without getting an error saying I need to upgrade?

Hi All,

I'm using the workspace template called "Project with Work Breakdown Structure" and the report called "Tasks Due" is giving me issues.

Although there is no source sheet clicked, whenever I actually try to select a sheet to connect the report to, I'm getting an error stating "You've reached the 1 sheet limit of your plan."

But… there's no sheet selected and I only want to select 1 sheet anyway.

Has anyone ran into a similar issue? And possible solution to this?

@rocampo21 - Possible solutions:

Check your plan type:
- Go to Account > Account Admin > Plan & Billing Info to confirm your current plan.
- If you're on a Pro or Trial plan, you may need to upgrade to Business or Enterprise to remove the sheet limit for reports.
Clear hidden sheet selections:
- Try creating a new report from scratch to see if the issue persists.
- Sometimes templates retain hidden sheet references even if they aren’t visible.
Contact Smartsheet Support:
- If you're sure no sheet is selected and you're still getting the error, Smartsheet Support can help reset or clarify the report configuration.

Hey Andrée,

No I am on the basic/unlicensed plan.

However, as far as I know it shouldn't matter. I'm only trying to link one sheet, which is the restriction. It works for the other template reports created, just not the Tasks Due report. The Tasks by Status report successfully allowed me to change the sheet that was linked, for example.

As you can see, there's no sheet selected, but it's still giving the error like I do have one selected. For what it's worth, I have tried removing all other filters as well and I believe it still had the same issue
