My workspace my ownership permission had been removed without receiving any prior notification

Dear All,

Did any one face this problem before

I was the owner of a workspace in which I created all the sheets, reports, and dashboards just yesterday. However, when I logged in today, I found that my ownership had been removed without receiving any prior notification regarding this action.

Hi @Bassam Khalil,

There are multiple instances of the Smartsheet application that host their data in different locations around the world. This means each region has a separate login and you may have multiple, separate accounts in each region - is it possible you might have logged in to the incorrect region? Check the URL domain in your browser bar when logging in. You can change the region at the bottom of the login page, as seen below:

Another thing to check is the email address you’re using to log in to Smartsheet, and confirming this is the email address associated with your Smartsheet account.

If you’re sure you’re logging in with the correct region and email address, have you lost ownership of all items/workspaces you previously owned, or just one specific workspace?

If you’ve lost ownership of all your items, it’s likely that a System admin in your account has transferred all of your items to another user. I’d recommend reaching out to your System Admin to determine if that has happened.

If it’s only one workspace or several workspaces/items that you have lost your ownership of, this seems strange since, as the owner, you would need to transfer ownership. I’d recommend submitting a support ticket so that the team can investigate and communicate with you via private channels.

I can confirm that I am using the correct Smartsheet Region and email address. As you mentioned, the issue is limited to losing ownership of one specific workspace, while my other workspaces remain unaffected.

Following your advice, I will proceed with submitting a support ticket so that the team can investigate the matter further and communicate with me regarding a resolution.
