New user subscription model

Hi, smartsheet community!

I wanted to check if it is mandatory for the existing smartsheet user to move from a business plan to the new user subscription mode or os it possible to keep the same contract? Are we going to have any limitations that might come up with this new user subscription model (considering that is mandatory for all the existing smartsheet users to move to the new model) or can we continue using the existing plan as it is?

Sorry for the long set of questions but I couldn't really understand who all needs to move to the new subscription model and if at all it is necessary for the existing smartsheet users to move to the new user subscription model. It will be really helpful if somebody could answer my questions as I am finding it quite confusing.

@Sudatta I responded to your other post, but this gives some more details. The business plan and new user subscription model are different things. The plan is the plan, and the subscription model is the user management piece of your plan.

Do all your current users now have licenses? Or do you have some viewers?
- If you have free members, they will either need to be a licensed user or a viewer going forward. There are no more free members with editor access. So if they are free members and need to edit, then on the new USM, they will need a license. There are workarounds with the business plans by utilizing the Dynamic view. If you have that with the business plan, then those Free users (viewers on the USM) would be able to use dynamic views to update tasks that could be assigned to them without needing a license.

@AngB789 Some of the users in our plan are viewers, while some have editor cannot share rights, while the rest have admin rights. Not all of them have license

Jumping in on this - if our unlicensed users fill out a form and we are not utilizing Dynamic View, will they automatically get provisional licenses?
