I have a sheet that is arranged with parent/child lines to track new recruits for positions within the company. The parent line is the position name and the child lines are the individual recruits being considered. When we're done hiring, we'd like to keep some recruit's info for future hiring, but in another sheet. I set up a formula to read the position name in the parent line, but when the line is copied to another sheet, the data is lost. Is there a way to keep this text in the cell when the line is copied? I've noticed Excel allows something similar. Though the formula is lost, the text remains. Is there a work-around in Smartsheet to do something similar without having to type the position name in manually before copying?
