Counting overdue on multiple sheets

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the overdue which is in a date field in red text, counted on multiple sheets and only if its not complete, or not cancelled - everytime we try, it get 0 which is inaccurate

=COUNTIFS({Exp_Status}, <>"Complete", {Exp_Due}, <TODAY())

The syntax is correct, so the first bit of troubleshooting I would suggest is checking data types. What happens if you only do one argument at a time? Do you get zero for the <> "Complete", zero for the < TODAY(), or zero for both? Once we figure that out, we can start troubleshooting whichever part is giving you issues.

If it is <> "Complete", the first thing I always check for is "Complete" vs "Completed".

If it is < TODAY(), start with the column type and make sure it is in fact a date type column. Then check the data and make sure it is date type data as opposed to a string that just looks like a date.

Another easy check you can start with is making sure each {Range} is in fact looking at the appropriate column.
