E-mail address format - update to allow e-mail addresses to start with a +

We have an update request embedded in a workflow but cannot send these to all our external partners due to the format of their e-mail address. Emails that start with a "+" such as +ABC-123-Country@domain.com are not supported due to the leading +

Please extend the functionality to support this e-mail address format - will make our workflow much simpler!
