Hello! There's a team in my org that uses SharePoint as their document repository, and nearly all of their Smartsheet row attachments are duplicates of files stored in SharePoint. While they can attach SharePoint URLs, it’s manual and not scalable for hundreds of sheets.
They are looking for functionality where:
- Users can browse and attach files directly from a SharePoint library
- Any document uploaded in Smartsheet can automatically be stored in a mapped SharePoint folder
- Smartsheet treats SharePoint as the system of record
Some parameters:
We currently have Data Mesh available to us, but other premium add-ons are not an option. We do have have access to pretty much the whole M365 suite though.
What best practices might people suggest for how to set this team up for success leveraging both SharePoint and Smartsheet?
Thank you in advance!
