Feature Request: Enable Enhanced Global Updates for Projects in a Single Workspace
Our organization, like many others, manages multiple projects within a single workspace to streamline collaboration and reduce administrative overhead. This approach avoids creating numerous workspaces, which would introduce complexity and inefficiencies over time. For example, project managers are often assigned after initial setup, making automatic permission assignment impractical. Navigating multiple workspaces would also be cumbersome for teams that work across both project and non-project spaces.
Currently, Enhanced Global Updates are limited to projects in separate workspaces, which does not align with common provisioning models. This limitation prevents us from fully leveraging Control Center’s capabilities and creates additional manual work that these enhancements were designed to eliminate.
Why It Matters:
Smartsheet has positioned Control Center as a solution for scalable project and portfolio management. Extending Enhanced Global Updates to projects in a single workspace would reduce administrative burden, improve efficiency, and align with real-world use cases. This enhancement would increase adoption, strengthen customer satisfaction, and reinforce Smartsheet’s commitment to flexibility and scalability.
