Quick Fill to Multiple Cells?

Is there an easy way to quickly drag down the same cell values to 1,000+ cells?

Important: I have the sheet filtered, as I only want this to be copied to specific rows. I have over 1,300 rows on the sheet, so I can't just use the column formula functionality.

I was hoping I could just double click the bottom right corner of the selection box to bring the data down to the last visible cell like it does in Excel, but that doesn't seem to work. And if I drag for too long, it seems to lose the data, so I have to do it in smaller chunks.

Hoping someone has a good trick for this!

Hey @S.Stone , this may be a silly question, and I don't know how many filters you have in place, but could you generate a column formula that includes those filters? Something like:

IF(COUNTIFS(column@row , is checked, another column@row , "green", etc…)>0, "your value", "")

As a less Smartsheet-y solution you could also copy the full column to excel, apply your filters, click and drag then paste it back again.

It's an odd situation. I'm really just using the =PARENT() formula on specific rows. I need to manually update the parents to the specific criteria, but then every child needs to copy whatever the parent does.

We already have about 90 columns and 1,300 rows on this sheet, and it just doesn't make sense to use helper columns with more formulas to achieve this.

What I ended up doing for today was to just extract a copy of the initial data, then I added the =PARENT() as a column formula to overwrite all of the cells, then I looked at my original data and deleted all the parents and manually keyed in the changes I needed.

While it worked well enough this way, I have to do this anytime someone wants a new column, and sometimes the changes are more complicated. I'd love a good smartsheet-y solution if anyone has one!
