BLUF: When I create an Invoice, I need the cell-link to my live price data to be severed.
I currently have a Price sheet for my products that is updated frequently. I use Control Center to create Projects, which includes an Invoice sheet. I have a dropdown on my invoice sheet to select a product, and then I use Index Matches to fill in the price data.
However, when I send an invoice, I need the price data to become static, because this is the agreed-upon price, regardless if my actual Price sheet is updated.
I've had several ideas for this, but haven't gotten something that works, so I would appreciate assistance, and am open to suggestions.
Right now I have to manually copy and paste the cells back in, which seems a trivial activity for some automation to achieve. Unfortunately, I have been unable to effectively replicate the function.
At this point, my latest idea specifically, is to use a trigger cell on my Invoice sheet (like adding a "purchase date" to a cell or clicking an "invoice sent" checkbox), and then run something automatic (we use Bridge and Data Mesh in other contexts) that will hard code those cells.
