Add Feature to Email Form Submission to Contact Listed on Form

Recommend implementing a SmartSheet feature that enables automated distribution of the submitted form to a contact listed within the form itself, in addition to the individual completing the form. This functionality would ensure that all relevant parties receive a copy upon submission, without access to the sheet containing the other responses.

You can put the distribution list in a contact list column in the sheet and have the automation send to everyone in the cell.

You can have a field in the form and have the default value be the distribution list.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the suggestion! We are using the form for managers to capture meeting notes for one-on-ones. There are form fields to capture the employee's and manager's email addresses, and I'd like the sheet to automatically send a copy of the form to both the employee and the manager, so the recipients would differ for each submitted form.

The actual sheet with all responses will be accessible only to the VP.

Is that possible?

If you are requiring login to the form then you can capture the email of the manager without requiring them to enter it. You can have the employee email entered into a field that is a contact list.

You can make an automation that sends the email to who ever is in the employee column
