Unable to Edit Sheets After License Renewal (Owner Access Issue)

Hi everyone,

I’ve been a Smartsheet user for over 3 years. However, after renewing my license in December, I’m no longer able to edit any sheets or projects — even those where I’m clearly listed as the Owner.

I have a Business plan, the renewal has already been paid, and this issue started only after the renewal. When I try to edit, Smartsheet asks me to upgrade to a paid plan and limits my access to viewer only.

I already opened a ticket with the support team, but so far I haven’t received any response.

Has anyone experienced something similar or knows how to fix this?

Have a System Admin check:

Admin Center → User Management
Your name must show Licensed User

Being a sheet Owner is NOT enough — editing requires a license.

Hi everyone,

The issue has been resolved by the Smartsheet support team.

My account was active and licensed, but there was a backend adjustment needed on Smartsheet’s side. The problem is now fully resolved.
