"Current User" filtering in Reports and sharing of Source sheets

Hello, am I correct in my understanding that if I need to have the Report filtered out by the "Current User", I still need to share the Source Sheet to the other user(s) by which the Report is derived from?

In this case, how do I prevent sharing the confidential information of other users if I need to share the Source sheet anyway in order to view the filtered Report? Would that not defeat the purpose of "Current User" filtering in the first place? Do I need to invoke conditional row filtering to each specific user when I share the Source sheet with them, which seems quite a cumbersome method?

Dynamic View is available to Business plans and higher, but it is the only way to allow users to take advantage of the "Current User" filter without being shared to the underlying data.

That is correct that users interacting with a report need to be shared to the underlying sheet(s). For true data security / confidentiality, you are going to want to look into Dynamic View.

Thank you, but is Dynamic View a feature only available as a Premium to Business users and above?
I need something that users don't need to interact (they can be viewer), but each user should just see their individual user filtered row information and not see the full underlying Source sheet of all the users information.

Is there anything else that I can use to set this up? Thanks.
