Date format in fillable PDF displays Regional Settings date format

Hi there,

I saw an older post that the date format for fillable PDF displays in Regional Settings date format, instead of using the data in the field. Is there a way around this, or does this need to be corrected by developers?

Example: Invoice Date

My regional setting is English so display 01/31/26, even though the data in Smartsheet column for invoice date displays 31-Jan-2026.

Why the fillable form if it doesn't allow you to select the date format?

While creating your fillable pdf you have to set the date format as intended.

Hi Naeem - Thank you for your response. I did choose a Date filled form field and a DD-MMM-YYYY format to be used. Then imported into Smartsheet and made sure that the date from the source field was in the same format. The invoice date field is not displaying DD-MMM-YYYY, it is displaying the date default from my personal 'global settings'. I read a community note that said this was an issue and would be reported to developers but it doesn't appear as this has been corrected yet. Mary Anne

What about making it a text string using a helper column instead of trying to fiddle with back-end date formats?
