Good morning, this might be a stupid question but I'm at the point where I need to ask for guidance. I am the new Smartsheet Admin for my company and am getting my arms around all the admin tasks and settings.
I saw the article about the new "Seat Request Setting" and I have it as the default, manage new Member seat requests in Smartsheet.
However, how does one "request" a new Member seat? We just had two new employees start and I am trying to direct the HR Manager to where she can submit for these 2 new seats. The article states, "Users who might need to request a Member seat see banners on items like sheets or reports. When the user selects the request a Member seat link, their experience —and your experience managing the request— depends on the setting you choose."
Where is the "Request a Member Seat" link? I've looked in sheets (even though I own them) so my suspicion is that the banner is on a sheet that a user is not shared to or not a member of.
My apologies if this is a stupid question or it's right in front of me, but appreciate any guidance!
