Ok, so the use case is as follows.
Our Employee fills out a Smartsheet form for the client that then generates multiple documents, based on selections the employee makes. These documents are in the language selected by the Employee.
I then need the client to be able to electronically sign the documents and return them.
When smartsheet fills in the fields that the Employee entered through the form, they become uneditable by the client. They can use adobe sign, but that doesn't allow for the date for whatever reason.
I'd like to use an update request to allow the client to electronically sign through smartsheet, but I need to be able to get them the forms in their language.
My best guess on how to do this is to use helper columns in the update request that give the PDF form to them, but it's so messy. 😕
I'm not against using helper sheets, but I'd love to not be beholden to make updates for the group that I'm building this for.
Help me Obi-Wan Kenobi! you're my only hope!
