Hi.
Goal1: For project management purposes, I am trying to compare project "Current Start Date" column in one Smartsheet (SmartSheet #1) against a "Q2 Start Date" column from another Smartsheet (Smartsheet #2). This is to compare the latest/daily Current Start Date against the Start Date that was planned in Q1 for a list of projects that are identified in each separate row by a document number. I am trying to find a way to do this using functions and/or formulas in Smartsheet so that I do not have to manually copy and paste.
In Smartsheet #1, this is a sheet that is refreshed daily from a Source sheet that pulls in data from another system (eg, the Current Start Date may change from day-to-day and be reflected in SmartSheet #1). In Smartsheet #2, this is a static sheet that has data pulled in Q1. My goal is to copy/transfer the Q1 Start Dates from Smartsheet #2, for each applicable row/project document number, into the SmartSheet #1, so that the static "Q1 Start Date" column is inserted next to the "Current Start Date" column so I can compare the dates daily.
When I tried to use DataMesh > Create config >Copy and Add Data feature, it did not work. Based on another community post, they said "This will allows DataMesh to copy newly added rows from the source sheet to the target sheet based on mapped columns. This setting does not copy the newly added columns from the source sheet to the target sheet. You need to manually add new columns to the target sheet and re-configure the column mapping."
What can I do to accomplish my Goal above? Note: Due to organizational and administration permissions, I do not have access to the Data Shuttle feature. My company has and I am using the "Enterprise" Plan version of Smarsheet.
