Output of Document

Question

I have a document creation when a cell has a date in it and it attaches a certificate to the row, the problem is that certifcate is named mapping for Certicate, I just want it to say Certificate. Is there a way I can change this.

also I get this error message when writing the automation to create the document

To generate documents, please select 100 rows or fewer on the sheet.

Thanks I fixed the file name.  But when I get that message about 100 rows it doesnt save the automation.  and when I test it on a row, it says it ran fine but doesnt fill in the fields on the certificate.

@Naeem Ejaz, that is incorrect.

@Shellie Styles can dynamically specify the name to be assign to each document that is generated.

In the example below, the desired name for the attached document is found in the column Attachment Name. When configuring the mapping, the user only needs to drag-and-drop the column into the Output Document Name field.

In Smartsheet Document Builder, attachment names are automatically generated based on the mapping label used during setup, not the column name or your desired display name.

If your mapping is named “Mapping for Certificate”, Smartsheet uses that exact text when attaching the document to the row.

* Open your Document Builder configuration

* Go to Mappings

* Find the mapping currently named “Mapping for Certificate”

* Rename it to “Certificate”

* Save and regenerate the document

Document Builder can generate documents for a maximum of 100 selected rows at one time.

* Filter the sheet (e.g., by date not blank)

* Select ≤ 100 rows

* Run document generation

* Repeat for next batch
