Smartsheet Save-Merge Errors

Question

We have a high-traffic sheet that frequently has rows deleted, and when we ask the user about it, they have no idea they even deleted the row. I have reached out to smartsheet about this several times, and they said they can happen due to a "save-merge error", and to have users save and refresh the sheet often. Instead of coaching users to work around the save-merge errors, can we just eliminate the save-merge error issue? Otherwise users can't operate under the assumption that their data is sound.

"Save-merge errors" are a bug that should be fixed.

A form can be used to create new rows. If the concern is that the creation of new rows has to be convenient for end users, then both the form and the report can be presented (embedded) in a dashboard.

I agree, but users also can not add a row with reports, which could be problematic!

One alternative, @Zachary Murray, is to create a report for the sheet and, then, train staff to work in the report instead of directly in the sheet. The option to delete a row is not available in a report. Users, however, retain full edit/update privileges in the report as they do on the actual sheet.
