Time Tracking integration with TimeCamp

Hi all,

It was recommended a while ago that we use integration with TimeCamp to track our time because SmartSheet does not have that capability (and boy do we wish it did!).  TimeCamp seems to be able to synchronize with SmartSheet and pulls all the tasks for a project if the are in the primary column.  Our employees track their time in TimeCamp but then the really annoying part is that Time Camp doesn't seem to synchronize back to SmartSheet to enter/update the hours tracked for each task.  This would require someone to manually pull reports in TimeCamp and then manually enter the hours in SmartSheet?

Anyone else have experience with this?  Am I missing something?  Any other suggestions for what works?

This is a huge capability that we need to help our producers keep track of their time spent and to see if they are going over budget on their projects.

Thanks in advance!

I don't use Time Camp, but have marked it for testing with the free trial when I have a chance.

There is a Zapier integration for it as well (www.zapier.com), so if you can't get satisfaction from either the Community or the Time Camp developers, you might look into building a work-around. If you haven't posted to their Contact or Support page (I did not see a forum -- maybe the Knowledge Base?), I'd go there.

Also, they do have an API, but it appears to only support PHP and JS. In a word - ICK. Zapier might be the better route ... let someone else deal with the problems associated with those two options.

I used TimeTracker but have mostly stopped because its integration with Smartsheet really slowed down my system. I'll revisit it in a few months after they've had time (no pun intended) to make improvements.

Craig, do you have any research to share about your testing experience with time tracking apps?
