This is more of a general question rather than a request for detailed help. I am attempting to build something for my team that functions as a reporting tool for leadership.
The main goal is to create a view for management that shows project status updates for work individuals are responsible for, and reduces the need for back-and-forth communication about project status. Instead, leadership would be able to access a centralized view and see all team members’ projects and their current status at a glance.
Two “must-haves” for this are:
- I need to make it as easy as possible for individual users/reporters to add new projects and provide updates on existing projects. This is why I am specifically considering Dynamic View.
- My manager needs a real-time snapshot of everyone on the team and all current projects in one place.
At its core, the goal of this tool is to allow project status to be viewed as quickly and easily as possible without needing to reach out and wait for responses. I want it to function strictly as a reporting tool, not something that feels like a micromanagement system, if that makes sense.
Has anyone built something like this using Dynamic View? Any advice on the overall build or design approach?
