We're looking for guidance on how WorkApps determines the default role/view when a user is assigned to multiple roles within the same WorkApp.
In our setup, some team managers are members of two different WorkApp roles. Our goal is for these users to land on a specific role/view when they access the WorkApp URL. They should still be able to switch between their assigned roles using the role dropdown if needed, but we would like a particular role to be the default view that loads upon entry.
Currently, when these users access the WorkApp, it defaults to a different role than the one we intend. We have attempted the following troubleshooting steps:
- Reviewed the WorkApp role configuration and user assignments.
- Modified the role names in an effort to influence the display or selection order.
- Adjusted role access and assignments to see if the default role would change.
- Tested access using an incognito/private browser window to rule out browser cache or session-related issues.
Despite these changes, the WorkApp continues to load the same role/view by default, and the order or landing page behavior does not appear to change.
Our questions are:
- How does WorkApps determine which role is displayed by default when a user belongs to multiple roles?
- Is there a way to prioritize one role over another?
- Can a WorkApp URL be configured to open a specific role/view by default for users with multiple role assignments?
