Zooming on Chart
Hi there,
I am trying to zoom into the chart basically from the beginning of November 2017, til the end of February 2018... However it either zooms in WAY to far or not enough, so when i print it, it either prints 6 pages or just 1 but it is hard to read. Is there a way around this? Like maybe a scroll in to zoom?
Thanks.

Hello,
The Gantt chart has 4 timeline zoom levels: quarter, month, week and day.
I would recommend zooming to months and weeks and saving that zoom setting. Then select the date range (November to February) when exporting or printing. This should provide a better view of the Gantt Timeline when exporting or printing it. You can export a date range of the Gantt Timeline by selecting the custom date range option in the PDF set up page.
To use a dropdown to change the zoom level of your Gantt Chart:
- Click the Project Settings icon in the Gantt chart header, then click Timeline Display on the left .
- Modify the Primary and Secondary Headings to Months and weeks for example.

Great suggestion, but this still means I have to buy a bigger monitor simply to see a month or two more. This zoom level issue is especially cumbersome for projects that are over 6 months long.
I have a nice large monitor so my mid level zoom equate to 7 months high zoom shoots up to... a bit over 4 years.
When changing monitors it appears the zoom level changes based on the display pixels available.
Both sides of this situation make preparing to use SmartSheet for presentation of the gantt an unworkable proposition.
