How to highlight a date in a column based off of another date
Id like to highlight Column (Date Sent to Owner) in reference to Column (Due Date).
If we hit the targeted Due Date, before or on the day that it is due- I would like Date sent to Owner to be highlighted green, if I we exceeded that date or it is past due, I would like that to be highlighted Red.
Is this possible or is is wishful thinking?
Thank you for the help.

How are you tracking if you hit the due date or not? Do you have another column where you enter the date completed?

Hello,
To achieve this, you will want to set up conditional formatting rules on your sheet like this:
- IF End Date is in the future, apply Green Format to Date Sent To Owner
- IF End Date is Today, apply Green Format to Date Sent to Owner
- IF End Date is in the past, Apply Red Format to Date Sent Owner
Learn how to set up conditional formatting rules here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/516359-conditional-formatting
The screenshot below shows how to set the rules and how the sheet will look like afterward.

As Pam suggests, you will need to have a date column for "sent to owner." That was the same method I was going to suggest.
