Web form entry ID based on URL click-through
Hi Guys,
This might be a long shot. My team needs a way for our sheet to automatically assign an ID to a web form entry based on some pre-existing set of meaningful ID numbers.
e.g. a handyman was called out to the customer's house to do maintenance work. we have a reference number for that particular job callout (say, #101). the customer is given a link to submit feedback on that callout. when they submit their feedback, their entry is automatically assigned the reference number of the callout on the back end of the sheet. That is, their row already has a column with #101 on it.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated! I would love to be able to find a solution within smartsheet - rather than have to move this to survey monkey.
Thank you

The auto-number system column will assign a unique ID to all existing rows and any row that is added (such as new web form entries): http://help.smartsheet.com/customer/portal/articles/1964567-system-columns

Thank you for the help. Unfortunately my need is to use a pre-existing numbering (from another system; such as reference number, customer number, job number, etc.) and try to match them to entries coming in. I have a feeling it might not be possible. It might have to be an export and vlookup sort of thing
