I would like to know how can I do to link 2 or more rows (primary and secondares) in such a way that when I click on the check box of the primary row, it checks in the secondary boxes automatically
Hi Fernando,
If you're wanting to do this on the same sheet, place a formula in your child row/secondary row cells, for example:
=[Completed]1
More information on how formulas work in Smartsheet can be found in our help article: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/2476171-create-and-edit-formulas-in-smartsheet
Otherwise, if you're wanting a cell on a different sheet to be checked automatically when you check a box on your source sheet, you'll want to use the Cell Linking functionality. Details on this are available here: https://help.smartsheet.com/articles/861579-cell-linking
Hi @shaine,
Can you please share more details about linking two rows in smart sheet? I tried =[Completed]1 but not works for me
Hi Mahendran,
The first checkbox [Completed]1 (located on the first row in the column named "Completed")
The second checkbox located elsewhere on the sheet where you put the formula =[Completed]1 will link the value in the first checkbox to the second so if the first is checked it will check the second also.
I hope this helps you!
Best,
