Formula to block dates

I want to be able to not allow a training date to be entered, that is less than 5 days after the current day. 

If they try to enter let's say today's date, 7/31/15, it would not allow them. However if they enter a date that is 5 days or greater from today's date of 7/31/15 it would allow them to do so.

 

In Excel I am able to create data validation and stop them from entering a date less than 5 days out. Can I do the same in Smartsheet?

Smartsheet does not have data validation but you could build a conditional formatting rule that formats the text/cell if the date selected is less that 5 days after the current day. It wouldnt prevent the user from entering the date but it could deter them.
