Importing auto numbered columns

I want to be able to import an excel file that will create auto numbered columns (date created and auto-numbered). Is this possible? 

What I am trying to do is as follows:

I have created a template to make training quizzes for different departments. I want to make an outline in excel where employees can type in a list of questions and answers, use a macro to correctly format it, and in general bypass the majority of the learning curve needed to build the training in Smartsheet.

Hi Luke,

There currently isn't a way to import an auto-numbered list column in Smartsheet. Those columns will be imported as text/number or date columns, and won't auto-update like the Smartsheet system columns do.

You might consider importing the template first, then adding the auto-number columns to the sheets after the import.
