I like the balls but want to change the text that shows up in the card layout from "Green" to "Done", Yellow" to "Hold" and "Red" to "Issue"
Hello Burto,
There currently isn't a way to change the text associated with a symbol. When you have a moment, please submit a Product Enhancement Request using the form under Quick links on the right of the community site.
One potential workaround you might consider is adding a dropdown list column to your sheet with your custom text values. You can then create a nested IF statement that will automatically change the dropdown list column value based on the symbol value.
For example:
=IF([Symbol]1 = "Green", "Done", IF([Symbol]1 = "Yellow", "Hold"))
You'll want to change the cell reference in my example formula to the column name in your sheet.
Afternoon,
Wondered if this has been worked on yet...
I believe having the traffic lights / RYG balls and been able to edit the associated text would be an invaluable thing for many...
Often I have many users using:-
Green as a positive/ yes
Amber - In progress
Red as a negative / no
However upper management and directors with the amber saying hold, but likes the visual of them....
Smartsheet it would be much appreciated if you can add this feature 🙏
Will second this request. The visual symbols with smiley faces should not just reflect pain, but also satisfaction levels. This should be customizable if possible. Maybe allow custom text for visual symbols in the forms at a minimum.
Smartsheet it would be much appreciated if you can add this feature - I have found that all Smartsheet is responsive to is raising the price, The cost is getting ridiculous. Guess they forgot there are a tons of other options out there. Very disappointed.
Hey @Skotty
Please feel free to add your vote and comment to the Product Idea around extra symbols:

I have an enterprise license, and a coworker who has a free license needs edit access to my sheet. She cannot edit the sheet despite me sharing. We have tried deleting other sheets that have been shared with her to clear up space, but it does not work (says she does not have permission to delete).
Is there a way to include attachments in automated emails? I want to automate communication to simplify a work process. Currently, emails are sent manually and occasionally contain attachments. All of the information my staff would include in the email is in the sheet, so being able to drag an attachment to a line and then…
Have any of you had a problem with the help button not working? This is the little round button that has a question mark in it. I have tried restarting and refreshing but still nothing happens. I am not getting an error message, it just isn't working.
