Does anyone know if it's possible to set it up so that when certain drop down selections on the form are checked then it assigns a contact to our "Request Owner" column?

The only way would be to set up an If function that would populate a field based on criteria.

I figured as much, but it won't let me use a function in the contact type field. Can you use a seperate column to push a value into the contact column? If so how?
You cant have a formula in a contact list column... you could have a separate column where the name is populated then use that as a reference for what you would need to manually type in the contact list column.
